Our back door mechanism broke in the locked position and we were unable to unlock the door. James replied immediately to my call and came round within 24 hours. The locking gears were completely broken and the system was over 25 years old and obsolete. James was able to open the door and, as it would have been difficult to source a new 5 lock system to fit the door, he rebuilt the locking mechanism. The alternative would have been a new back door. This is the third time I have used James, he is always determined to fix the problem with minimum cost and fuss. I highly recommend him.

James is brilliant. I needed to have my front door locks replaced after losing a set of keys, and he replied immediately saying he could be here the next day (a Sunday!) for a really good price. He worked quicker than a gazelle and the quality is excellent. He even noticed that my original locks were different colours and made them both the same with no extra charge. James was fantastic, he came around the same afternoon I called him after having a break-in the night before. He was really helpful and very knowledgeable. He genuinely just wants to help using his experience and expertise, he offered advice on other aspects of security as well as upgrading locks and handles. 8pm on a Monday night and I couldn't lock my front door. Called James as his was the first number that came up on Checkatrade. There was a reason it did: he was there within the promised hour, door adjusted and locking again, gave it the once over. One very happy customer, reasonable cost for that time of night too. I would go for this locksmiths every time. I even called him out for a neighbour. The owner is reliable and responsible. He is very able and personable. His work is spot on and he aims to get to you as soon as possible. I find his charges reasonable.

The lock on my patio door jammed which meant I could not close it and my property was insecure. I called James at 11am on Saturday morning and was amazed and delighted when he said he would be with me by 2pm. He was true to his word and arrived 1.50pm. He did a great job of fixing my door lock. During his visit he chatted to me and made a fuss of my little dog who was demanding attention. Given that it was a weekend the cost was very reasonable. I can highly recommend this company and will use them again if I have more lock troubles.
